Developmental Educators presented on a panel to new students during Flinders University O-Week

On Thursday 23rd February 4 Developmental Educators presented to new students of the Bachelor of Disability and Developmental  Education, Graduate Certificate in Disability, and Master of Disability Policy and Practice. The DE’s spoke about their careers and current roles in an effort to give students a sense of the career pathways and job roles of Developmental Educators. It was a very interactive and interesting session,  with students posing a range of questions.

The DEAI was also able to speak to students about the benefits of belonging  to the DEAI and the importance of developing networks in the profession.

The DEAI wishes to thank (from L to R) Carlin Lee (Disability SA, Country South, Murray Bridge), Lauren Bush (Cara), Leigh-Anne Hodgetts (4th year student and Club Slick Coordinator Down Syndrome SA), and Caroline Mannix (Disability SA, Positive Behaviour Support and Therapeutic Services) for their time and inspiring talks.

This panel was arranged by the DEAI upon invitation from Disability and Community Inclusion.
