Flinders University research: Older carers of adults with intellectual disability

Have your say — older carers of adults with intellectual disability: Flinders University is researching the service and support requirements of people aged 55 and over caring for adults with intellectual disability. Previous research has found that older carers want to plan for the future but face certain barriers. This is a chance for carers to identify which assistance, resources or programs would be most helpful to them. Participation is via a focus group of about 10 people for approximately 60 minutes. Carers will be reimbursed with a $20 Coles voucher and cab vouchers to assist with transport. This research is supported by SA Health and has received ethics approval from the Flinders University Ethics Committee. If you would like to participate, please contact Irene Belperio on 0478 129 766 or email irene.belperio@flinders.edu.au. Deadline for registration: Friday 14 September 2018.
