The DEAI at the Positive Futures Expo 22nd May

The DEAI is very appreciative of Natalie D’Antonio (My Connected Communities) and Cheryl Hugo (Be. Counselling), both members with the DEAI, for manning a stall at the recent Positive Futures Expo.

The Positive Futures Expo is an annual event in the Northern Region showcasing exciting opportunities for further education, training, employment, volunteering and social inclusion available to people with a disability.

This is a great opportunity for the DEAI to continue to raise awareness of the role Developmental Educators can play in supporting individual with disability in these areas.

According to Natalie and Cheryl the Expo was very well attended and there were a range of people expressing interest in the services from a Developmental Educator (for example in school to adult transition and upskilling). Others were interested in the career of a DE and there were students currently studying the BDDE who were able to learn more about the role of a DE.

Thank you Natalie and Cheryl for your support and enthusiasm for our profession.
