The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has released information about the ways they are making it easier for people with disability to vote at the upcoming Federal Election (Saturday 18 May 2019).
You can watch their online video by clicking here or by typing in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ8sr9zWw8c&feature=youtu.be. The video gives information about how AEC staff can help people with a disability or mobility restriction throughout the voting process.
The AEC has also provided information about alternatives to voting at a polling place, such as postal voting or telephone voting, as well as how to get election information in an accessible format (such as Auslan videos or Easy Read documents).
