From DARU update:
This forum series provided a space for advocates to gain practical information and share knowledge by participating in topical, interactive sessions. It’s more imperative than ever to keep abreast with the ever changing disability services and supports landscape and to understand the impacts on disability advocacy practice.
This forum was held at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre on 14 February 2019. Each session includes videos with Auslan, audio, transcript and links to information mentioned during the presentation. Sessions at this forum include:
- Meeting the needs of older people with disability when the NDIs falls short with Lauren Henley, Council of the Ageing Victoria
- Culture is Inclusion with Scott Avery, First Peoples Network Australia
- We’ve Got This: Parenting with a disability with Eliza Hull, ABC Radio National Life Matters
- Office for Disability Update with Felix Neighbour, Manager Stakeholder Engagement
