The DEAI warmly congratulates Dr Alinka Fisher, Associate Lecturer at Flinders University (Disability and Developmental Education) and Chair, PBS Community of Practice, for receiving a 2019 College of Nursing & Health Sciences ‘Teaching Excellence Award’.
The Award was received for her work in Positive Behaviour Support and, more specifically, for the selection criteria relating to the ‘development of curricula, resources or services that reflect a command of the field’.
Dr Fisher will be using the prize money to develop additional teaching resources and tools in PBS! This will be of great benefit to PBS Practitioners and to individuals with disability and their families who receive PBS supports.
Dr Fisher is also a Developmental Educator and so it is wonderful news to be able to share within our DE community.
