|Special Film Night – Wednesday 27 March
View the final videos and findings from the ‘Shared Journey’ project by Families4Families and Life Upcycled and funded by the Julia Farr MS McLeod Benevolent Fund.
In 2017 the ‘Shared Journey’ project commenced, enabling Families4Families to investigate how peer support techniques can be used by people living with disability to build their ‘best lives’.
From July 2017 to February 2019, people living with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) were empowered to plan, secure and maintain meaningful and valued roles. This shared peer support journey has brought about maximum life opportunities for people with ABI. This project has helped Families4Families to understand the processes that are most successful in helping people living with ABI and this knowledge can now be used to help other people too.
We captured the stories of 5 participants throughout the project and these films are being launched at this special RED CARPET event. Please join us as we celebrate our participants, their stories and the conclusion of a very successful project.
Light refreshments will be provided on the night. This is a free event.
