On 1 July 2019, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) commenced in Tasmania, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, and the Northern Territory.
The NDIS Commission began operations in New South Wales and South Australia in July 2018, and will commence in Western Australia in July 2020.
The NDIS Commission provides a nationally consistent approach to quality and safeguards in the NDIS. The NDIS Commission’s role is to promote the rights of NDIS participants and work with providers to provide safe and high-quality supports and services to people with disability.
The NDIS Commission has developed two new resources to assist participants and providers with an overview of the NDIS Commission and provide key information on its role and functions.
Information is available online in digital formats and printed/embossed formats can be requested.
In addition, you can print or order these Code of Conduct postcards. These can be given to a registered or unregistered provider to remind them that participants are protected by the code of conduct.
Please take the time to review the information and share the packs with your networks
