It is that time of the year again where Flinders University is liaising with the DEAI to put together a panel of Developmental Educators to talk to new students of the Bachelor of Disability & Developmental Education during their Orientation Day.
This is an informal presentation, which has been perceived as a very valuable experience by commencing students in the past. DE’s are able to share their career pathway and role/s with students to give them an insight into the profession they are about to study.
Date: Wednesday 18th July
Time: 10.00 – 11.00 (you are invited to stay on for morning tea)
Location: Flinders University, Sturt Campus (room TBA).
You will be asked to provide one powerpoint slide (for a short 5-10 minute presentation) with the following details:
- your name
- job/role
- when graduated and
- brief one sentence on what your current role involves
If you are interested to participate, please email contact Dr Kerrie Lante on kerrie.lante@flinders.edu.au by COB Monday 16th July
Students to ask questions of the panelist about their job/role experience etc.
Thank you for considering. As well as supporting new DE students, this is a also great opportunity for your own professional development.
